Statement from Sharks GM

To our loyal fans, sponsors, and fellow GMs:

A lot of rumours have been swirling around the first overall draft pick and who the sharks will take with our selection.

As an organization, we strive to keep our decision making process in house and avoid information getting leaked out to the media. Unfortunately, it seems one of our staffers has fallen victim to the investigative methods of an award-winning journalist, and in the process divulged trade secrets. The employee in question has been reprimanded and their role in the organization is under review.

As for who we are taking in the draft: the sharks respect the draft process too much to make the announcement at this time. We look forward to making this announcement on Saturday and celebrating with our fans in person and those watching at draft parties around the world.
